Delete Your Account

You can delete your FactorCat account and all associated data at any time.

How to delete

  1. Open the FactorCat mobile app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm deletion

What gets deleted

  • Your account and profile information
  • All token metadata (site names, URLs, vault membership)
  • All encrypted TOTP secret blobs stored on our servers
  • Approval history and usage data
  • Device registrations and push notification tokens

What doesn't get deleted

  • TOTP secrets stored locally on your device (in Locked Vault) — these are on your phone, not our servers
  • Your Emergency Kit — this is a physical or digital backup you created; we don't have it

Important

Deleting your account does not disable 2FA on the services where you've set it up. Before deleting your FactorCat account, make sure you've either disabled 2FA on those services or migrated your tokens to another authenticator. Otherwise, you may be locked out of those accounts.

Can't access the app?

If you can't access the mobile app to delete your account, email hello@factorcat.com from the email address associated with your account. We'll verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Data is purged from our systems within 30 days of the deletion request.
